The Peter Broudge Project is the most recent musical incarnation of solo artist Pete Brown who's newest album, Thanks Giving, is an interesting mix of spoken-word poetry and traditional modern folk songs. Also notable is the method of release, which is currently being leaked one or two songs at a time. Brown's voice reminds me of a of a plank cedarwood that has been sun-dried, dipped-in-gravel and soaked in whiskey. The track featured on this post, "Blood Mobile", is not on Thanks Giving (as far as I know), however you can check out this storybook-type release, complete with many accompanying illustrations by flash artist Kyle Goines at thenewartform.blogspot.com.
